My name is Max Lindmark and I work as a postdoc at the Institute of Marine Research, Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences.
I am a quantitative ecologist using statistical and mathematical models to understand how individual organisms, populations and communities respond to climate change in an ecological context.
Specifically, I explore growth rates, body size and the spatiotemporal distribution of species change over time in relation to climate and ecological processes, using empirical approaches. I also work on understanding how population and community stability and size-structure change with warming, and for this I use more theoretical methods (simulations and such).
I enjoy using R for my work, and I aim to upload data and code with all my first-authored papers on GitHub. I am learning new things all the time, mostly by reading things online. For example, my CV was made using Mark Scheuerell’s as a template, and I learned how to make this site from countless blogs, e.g. Danielle Navarro’s.
